The Burra House

This is the Burra House as it appears on the side of the Goyder Hwy north of the town of Burra, South Australia. Otherwise made famous by Midnight Oil on the cover of their studio album ‘Diesel and Dust’, this was once the home of the client’s mother many moons ago.

Iconised within Australian culture by the Midnight Oil album since, the client wanted her own rendition of this classic Australian ruin.

This piece was completed on Saunders 600gsm, hot pressed, smooth finished paper. Hand drawn from photograph, and inked with Pigma Micron archival ink pens and coloured with alcohol based Copic Ink Markers. Final drawing size - A1.
